Before you activate

Development and production instances have separate keys and resource IDs. Configure the existing Clerk webhook source with its Svix signing secret to receive events. Some operations require a paid plan, enabled features or production-specific settings. Deprecated operations may be unavailable. File uploads use one File up to 10 MiB; Clerk validates image formats and resource-specific restrictions. JSON responses are limited to 2 MiB: request a smaller page when needed. The Secret Key authorizes Backend API actions; it is not the Publishable Key or webhook signing secret. Reconnect after replacing a key. Revoke the original key in Clerk to end its provider-side authority. Interactive sign-in pages are outside the backend integration. Webhook endpoints are configured in the Clerk Dashboard with a separate per-endpoint Svix signing secret.
