Create English and German WordPress drafts with DeepL

Connect DeepL and WordPress.com, choose a Site for both draft steps, and send title and content through the webhook. Two translations produce two unpublished drafts for review. Change target languages if needed. Each new request creates two new posts; this is not an upsert. Keep webhook access protected and review translations before publishing.

01

Connect DeepL

Create a DeepL API account and copy its API key. In FastHook, select DeepL and enter a connection name, key and official API endpoint. Access is verified through the usage endpoint and credentials are stored encrypted. A Translator subscription alone does not provide API access.

02

Map your Workflow data

Connect your accounts and map the required fields from earlier steps. Test with data you control before activation.

03

Before you activate

Translations consume your DeepL allowance. Document-like formats can have a 50,000-character minimum charge; use a short TXT file for a small test. Use the endpoint associated with your key: api.deepl.com or api-free.deepl.com. US and Japan regional endpoints require a separate DeepL agreement. Document upload is limited to 25 MiB in FastHook; DeepL applies additional format and plan limits. JSON requests are limited to 128 KiB. List actions return one page. Use the published page or cursor inputs to read further pages. Translation-memory import and export include signed File upload and download actions. Real-time Voice WebSocket streaming is not yet supported; REST session management does not imply audio streaming. DeepL does not provide a general translation event subscription. Start from Webhook, Schedule or another app’s trigger. API access depends on plan, role and feature entitlement. Admin methods require an admin key; quality evaluation is a restricted beta. Disconnect removes the local FastHook connection. Manage or revoke keys in DeepL. API-key connections do not use OAuth refresh.
