Notify Slack about new Airtable records
Post a Slack alert with a direct record link whenever a new record is created in Airtable. Use it to help a team notice incoming leads, requests or project entries without watching the base all day. Connect Airtable and Slack, browse to the source base and optionally enter a Table ID filter, then choose a Slack channel where FastHook can post. Leaving Table IDs empty watches every table in the selected base; enter a table ID to keep alerts focused. The message includes the record ID, creation-event timestamp and an Airtable link. Cell values, attachments and private notes are not copied into Slack; recipients still need Airtable access to open the record. After activation, wait for the Trigger to show Connected before creating records: webhook provisioning can take up to 15 minutes. Only record-creation events received after the webhook is connected are processed. Existing records, later edits and deletions are excluded. Records created through the app, forms, API or automations are eligible unless you select a Change source filter. The fictional example is a Hamburg onboarding request with German characters. This is a one-way notification, not a record synchronization. Manual reruns may post another alert.
