Ready-made Workflow

Notify Slack about new or updated Dropbox files

Notify a Slack channel when a file is added or updated in Dropbox. Include its name, path, size in bytes and server modification time to help your team notice incoming documents and revisions. Connect Dropbox and Slack, review the optional folder path and file extension filters, then choose a Slack channel. Without a folder filter, eligible file changes across the connected account are included. Nested folders are included when a folder path is set. Wait for the Trigger to show Connected before uploading a fictional test file. Existing files are not imported. This trigger includes updates as well as additions; it does not distinguish a new upload from a revision. Folder and deletion events do not send messages. Messages use plain text with link previews disabled. File contents are not copied and no public sharing link is created. File names and paths become visible to channel members. The fictional sample includes German characters. Manual reruns can send another notification.
