Ready-made Workflow

Log new Mailchimp subscribers in Google Sheets

Append a Google Sheets row when Mailchimp sends a subscribe event for a selected audience. Keep a subscription-event register with Email, Audience ID, Event fired time and Event type in columns A-D. Connect Mailchimp and Google Sheets, choose the audience using the standard Audiences browser and browse to the destination spreadsheet and worksheet. Append Values works with an empty worksheet; headers are optional. Source fired_at text is preserved exactly without assigning a timezone that is absent from the webhook. Includes its own fictional Hamburg subscriber example with German characters in unused merge fields. Only email and subscription-event metadata are copied; names, interests, signup IPs and other merge fields are excluded. Use a sheet whose access is appropriate for subscriber email addresses. RAW input prevents formula-looking source strings from being interpreted as formulas. Wait for Connected before creating a test subscription. New subscribe events can include resubscriptions, so separate legitimate events for one address can create multiple rows. Existing contacts are not backfilled. Unsubscribe, cleaned, email-change and profile events do not update or remove past rows: this is not a current eligible-recipient list or marketing-consent record. No campaigns or messages are sent and no new audience membership is created by this template. Manual reruns can duplicate rows.
