Ready-made Workflow

Notify Slack about new Mailchimp subscribers

Send a Slack channel notification when Mailchimp reports a new subscriber for a selected audience. Connect Mailchimp and Slack, choose the audience with the standard Audiences browser, and select the destination channel. Each message contains the subscriber email address, audience ID, event type and the fired_at value supplied by Mailchimp. The source timestamp is preserved as text because the webhook does not include a timezone. The template has its own fictional Hamburg subscriber example with German characters in unused merge fields. Names, interests, signup IPs, tags and other merge fields are not copied. Subscriber email addresses become visible to members of the selected Slack channel, so use a channel with appropriate access. Wait for Connected before creating a fictional test subscriber. Existing contacts are not backfilled. Mailchimp can emit another subscribe event for a resubscription, and FastHook treats it as a separate notification. Unsubscribe, cleaned, profile-update and email-change events are excluded. The workflow does not create contacts, change marketing consent or send campaigns. Messages are plain text with link and media previews disabled. Manual reruns can post duplicate notifications.
