Connect your account

Connect a Google Workspace administrator through OAuth. The account needs an Admin role with Admin API Groups permissions, such as Groups Admin or Super Admin.

  1. In FastHook Sources, choose New source → Provider app → Google Groups.
  2. Connect a Google Workspace administrator and approve the requested Directory and Groups Settings scopes.
  3. Choose a group for membership Sources or monitor organization-wide group changes.
  4. Add Google Groups Actions to a Workflow, map inputs, test the result, then activate it.

Working with Google Groups

Sources poll every five minutes and establish a baseline on their first run before emitting later changes.

Google Groups in FastHook manages organization groups through the Admin SDK; a personal Gmail account without Google Workspace admin rights cannot use these operations.

Groups for Business must be enabled for settings such as collaborative inbox and posting policies.

Custom API Request is restricted to Admin SDK Directory v1 and Groups Settings v1 paths and cannot override authorization.
