Connect Linear to FastHook

Authorize one Linear workspace, choose the resources and actions you need, and route real-time events to any FastHook Destination. Use Any Linear Event, Custom Webhook Events, or one of 20 individual resource types.

This is a managed Provider Source. FastHook's Linear OAuth app creates the workspace webhook automatically, verifies every raw-body HMAC signature and timestamp, archives the exact payload, deduplicates retries, and routes it only to matching Sources.

Create a Linear Provider Source

  1. Open Sources → New source → Provider app → Linear.
  2. Choose Any Event, Custom Webhook Events, or an individual Linear resource.
  3. Select Connect new Linear workspace and approve read access.
  4. Optionally filter by actions such as create, update, or remove, and by team ID.
  5. Create the Source and connect it to the Destinations that should receive its events.

Supported events

FastHook supports Linear's complete OAuth app webhook resource catalog, including issues, comments, attachments, labels, reactions, cycles, projects, project updates, documents, initiatives, customers, users, permission changes, SLA events, app notifications, and OAuth revocation events. Release webhooks can be added when the FastHook Linear application moves to a Business workspace.

  • Any Linear Event remains forward-compatible with resource types Linear adds later.
  • Custom Webhook Events combines several resource types in one Source.
  • Individual resource Sources keep a downstream workflow narrowly scoped.

Security and data control

  • OAuth credentials are encrypted and isolated per FastHook team and Linear organization.
  • Only the Linear read scope is requested; FastHook does not request workspace admin access.
  • Webhook signatures are verified against the untouched request body and stale deliveries are rejected.
  • Event data goes only to Destinations the FastHook user connects to the Source.

Disconnect

Revoke the Linear account from the Source editor or FastHook account settings. You can also revoke FastHook from Linear's connected applications. Revocation disables related Sources and stops future events.
